Orio-Itxaspe path (PR Gi-158)

This path is representative of the lower part of the village, the part by the river, and it presents no big difficulties.

We propose to do the route clockwise. From the main square, go up Kale Nagusia to the Chapel of Saint Martin. Go down the track and cross the A-8 Motorway (Txanka), and take the first path to the left. You arrive to a crossroad, take the first road up and a little bit later the first track to the left. Continue this track till you arrive to Itxaspe farmhouse, the only one in the village situated in front of the see. On our way to the farmhouse we will discover some lookouts, used in former times for defence and for fishing. Finally, from Itxaspe farmhouse we will go down the hill to Antilla beach and from here and along the river back to the village.
