The estuary, our identity: Guided tours to discover Orio's maritime heritage. From the Middle Ages onwards, an important shipbuilding sector developed in the municipality thanks to the numerous shipyards in the estuary.  In Orio we have different water activities. These activities such as kayaking, rowing, rafting or sup, are offered by the company Begi Bistan, located in Arraunetxe, in the Rowing Technification Centre.

They also offer experiences such as ‘Rowing for a day’ or ‘Interpretative descent of the river Oria’.

Do you want to feel what it's like to be a rower? We invite you to come with your friends or family, get to know the most cutting-edge facilities at Arraunetxe and come and practise on the Oria aboard our Rowing Club's authentic rowing boat, and you will see that here in Orio, the love and feeling for rowing is at its best.
